Liquid-tight flexible conduit that inhibits bacteria growth, withstands sterilization
AFC Cable Systems, New Bedford, Mass., made available LIQUID-TUFF UL Splash Zone liquid-tight flexible conduit with a rugged polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket, designed to inhibit bacteria growth and withstand cleaning and sterilization using bleach with no jacket degradation.
Created to meet NSF 169 commercial food equipment standards for splash zones in food production areas, the cable’s moisture, oil and sunlight-resistant jacket is ideal for meat packing, restaurants, food processing and poultry packing environments.
LIQUID-TUFFcomes in steel and non-metallic versions, is constructed of a zinc-coated galvanized low carbon steel strip and is covered by a jacket with a proprietary PVC formulation that inhibits bacterial growth.
