Verde Farms acquires Estancia Beef

Leading provider of grass-fed beef acquires like-minded supplier to expand offerings nationwide.

Verde Farms, Woburn, Mass., acquired Estancia Beef, the Petaluma, Calif.-based import division of El Raigon Natural Beef Co.

The acquisition is a natural next step in expanding Verde Farms' offerings nationwide while maintaining the integrity of their founding values of healthy soil, healthy animals and healthy beef.

"Verde Farms and Estancia Beef have collaborated over the years as mission-driven companies with aligned values on sustainability and humane-raising principles,” says Dana Ehrlich, founder and CEO of Verde Farms. “As consumer demand for grass-fed beef continues to explode, this acquisition allows us to satisfy that demand with 100% grass-fed beef that meets our values and high standards."

El Raigon Natural Beef will continue to operate Pasture One, its domestic grass-fed beef production division.
