EPOXY FLOORING WITH IMPROVED CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
Flowcrete Americas launched Flowchem EP UCR, a Bis A/BisF blended epoxy with improved chemical resistance. Uniformly dispersed rubber particles improve impact and thermal shock resistance without harming chemical resistance, which helps in containment areas where tools or hoses can drop. Plus, thermal shock cracking is reduced in the event hot cargo from storage tanks drops on the floor. Flowchem NV is a novalac epoxy with what is said to be the best chemical resistance for concentrated acids, including 98% sulfuric acid. Flowchem NV will stain from strong acids, but will not blister and deform. Both coating systems are pre-pigmented with red, medium gray or dark gray, and are available in 3-, 12- and 150-gallon units.
