Saputo acquires Shepherd Gourmet Dairy

Saputo Inc., Canada, announced plans to acquire Shepherd Gourmet Dairy (Ontario) Inc., Canada, which maintains 90 employees out of its manufacturing facility in St. Marys, Ontario, Canada.
Shepherd Gourmet manufactures, markets and distributes a variety of specialty cheeses and yogurt and Skyr Icelandic-style yogurt in Canada.
The transaction will enable Saputo’s Canada-based dairy division to increase its presence in specialty cheese and expand its yogurt offering in Canada.
