Tekni-Plex purchases MMC Packaging
The acquisition adds 70 employees to the 3,500-strong global Tekni-Plex team.
Tekni-Plex, Wayne, Pa., purchased MMC Packaging Equipment Ltd., a Canada-based automation equipment solutions manufacturer. MMC will become part of Tekni-Plex’s Tri-Seal business.
MMC’s portfolio includes cap lining, slitting/folding, assembling and closing systems. Additionally, the company develops and sells vision systems and custom automation equipment.

The acquisition adds 70 employees to the 3,500-strong global Tekni-Plex team. Christiane El-Tekly, general manager of MMC, will continue to oversee the operation.
