Nidec Global Appliance acquires Embraco
The annual production volume of motors and compressors combined is around 60 million, commercialized in over 80 countries across the globe.
Nidec Global Appliance, Austria, acquired Embraco, a Brazil-based manufacturer of refrigeration solutions. This transaction amplifies Nidec Global Appliance’s worldwide capillarity and innovation capabilities, and sets up a solid base in the United States.
Nidec Global Appliance’s footprint now encompasses a pool of 11 manufacturing plants, six research and development centers, three sales offices and one global business support center, distributed throughout eight countries, including Brazil, United States, Mexico, Slovakia, China, Russia, Romania, and Italy, and sustained by a workforce of 14,000 people. The annual production volume of motors and compressors combined is around 60 million, commercialized in over 80 countries across the globe.
