In addition, for every Farmer Jen's Sweet Potato Pie pouch purchased, $0.25 will be donated to Save the Children (up to $50,000) – a non-profit organization helping kids grow up healthy, educated and safe across rural America.
Peekaboo Organics' ice cream featuring hidden vegetables was named the grand prize winner today of the Real California Milk Snackcelerator dairy snack innovation competition created by the California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB) and VentureFuel. The competition will provide Peekaboo with $200,000 in resources and funding to bring a snack-sized version of their innovative products to market and expand the overall market for their products. This is the second event of its kind by the California dairy industry designed to inspire ideas integrating the values of fluid milk and dairy ingredients into snacks to meet growing consumer demand and providing resources to help bring them to market.
Limited-batch flavors include Gingerbread Cookie Dough Chunk, and Cinnamon Bun Dough Chunk, bringing the line to seven flavors total.

When consumers eat has become as important as how and what consumers eat, according to “Eating Trends: Mealtimes and Snacking,” a report released by Packaged Facts, Rockville, Md.
Although only a quarter of kids said they "love" healthy snacks, it's important to note that 40% said they "like healthy snacks" and only 1% said that healthy snacks are "gross."

Whether at home, at work, in the car or on the go, “snack meals” are on the rise. That’s because 86% of Americans eat snacks in place of meals, according to a new nationwide survey of 2,000 adults (ages 18 and over), commissioned by Farm Rich, St. Simons Island, Ga.
The study says 80% of consumers say they snack at least once a day.
