The makers of Hormel Black Label Bacon are introducing the category's first-ever co-branded bacon in partnership with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.

These varieties join a wide-ranging portfolio of 100% natural deli products, with no nitrates or nitrites added, and no preservatives.

The Hormel Natural Choice line of deli products has a new look. In addition to a newly designed logo, the brand’s redesign is also supported by lighter packaging that will reduce its usage of packaging materials by an estimated 337,000 pounds per year over prior packaging.

The inspiration for the recipe came courtesy of team member Feng Walkup, an international account manager of the fresh meat category at Hormel Foods and a 24-year veteran of the company. 

HERDEZ Barbacoa Shredded Beef in Sauce will be available at Meijer and Walmart stores beginning in October, with additional retailers expected later this fall.

 The onsite solar portion of the project will supply approximately 10% of the plant’s annual electricity.

The launch represents a shift for the brand as it moves into a new category for the first time: handheld, frozen breakfast predominantly featuring eggs as an ingredient.

With an SRP $9.99-$10.99, HERDEZ Refrigerated Entrées will be available at Publix and Hy-Vee stores across the U.S., with additional rollout to major grocery chains later this spring.

Effective Oct. 31, the beginning of fiscal 2023, the company is transitioning to three operating segments – Retail, Foodservice and International.
