Plumrose USA, a branded packaged meat company and subsidiary of JBS USA, a leading American food company with the second largest pork production footprint in the world, today announced its intention to construct a new, state-of-the-art Italian meats and charcuterie production facility. The estimated $200M greenfield project will be strategically located to efficiently access raw material and leverage synergies with existing corporate assets. The investment is consistent with the company’s long-term strategy to increase its value-added and branded portfolio with innovative, on-trend products.
New plant will add 200 new jobs to the area and $68 million in capital investments.

Plumrose USA, a prepared-foods and packaged-meat company providing high-quality protein products throughout the United States, and a subsidiary of parent company JBS USA, is planning to build a new bacon facility that will produce ready-to-eat, fully cooked bacon in Randolph County. The facility in Moberly is expected to bring nearly 200 new jobs to the region and represents more than $68 million in capital investment.
In 2017, JBS USA reduced the intensity of its water use by 6.2%, natural gas by 6.3%, electricity by 5.2% and greenhouse gas emissions by 7.6%, compared to 2016.

JBS USA, Greeley, Colo., released its 2017 Sustainability Report, which details JBS USA’s environmental, social and economic achievements in 2017, and 2020 Sustainability Targets, which establish a clear path for future sustainable progress.
The state-of-the-art facility will enrich CSU’s teaching and research in meat sciences, as well as offer a space for industry collaboration through continuing education and training, equipment development and testing.

Five Rivers Cattle Feeding is said to be the largest cattle feeding operation in the world.

Pinnacle Asset Management, L.P., a New York-based commodities and natural resources investment firm, announced plans to acquire the U.S.-based cattle feeding assets and farms, collectively known as Five Rivers Cattle Feeding, from JBS USA.
The acquisition includes five prepared foods facilities and two distribution centers.

JBS USA, Greeley, Colo., announced a definitive share purchase agreement with Danish Crown A/S, Denmark, to acquire Plumrose USA, a Downers Grove, Ill.-based bacon, ham and deli meat business, for $230 million.
