Weigel’s Foundation has donated $10,000 to Street Hope TN’s annual fund-raising campaign. The sponsorship donation was presented by Kurt Weigel, Human Resources for Weigel’s, and Meg Weigel Kwasigroch, Kurt’s sister. Accepting the donation on behalf of Street Hope TN was Devin Payne, Executive Director.
Kenneth E. McMullen, CEO of Weigel’s passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 unexpectedly. Under McMullen's leadership, Weigel’s added 49 convenience stores and its own bakery. His tenure and legacy at Weigel’s lasted 40 tremendous years and the chain now has 70 stores.
Weigel’s, a dairy, bakery, and convenience store chain in East Tennessee, has introduced its newest flavored milk: Birthday Cake Milk, in honor of its 90th Anniversary. The new flavor will be available at all Weigel’s through August.
Weigel’s Convenience Stores announced it will partner with Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee to distribute 60,000 gallons of milk to those in need. The announcement was made today via a press conference held at Weigel’s Corporate office in Powell.
