MULTIVAC officially opened its Training & Application Center for Slicing & Automation (TAC) at the company headquarters in Wolfertschwenden, Germany. The guests included Stephan Thomae, member of the Bundestag, Alex Eder, Chief Executive of the Lower Allgäu Regional District, and Beate Ullrich, Lady Mayor of Wolfertschwenden. After the guests had been greeted by Group Presidents, Guido Spix and Christian Traumann, the building was blessed by Father Thomas of the Parish of Bad Grönenbach, and Pastor Michael Kolbe of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Woringen. The guests were then guided through the building complex. The ceremony took place in accordance with the current COVID guidelines.
After a construction period lasting about a year, MULTIVAC in Kansas City, Missouri, has opened its new Logistics Center, which will help meet increasing demands for spare parts logistics and material supplies for production. This investment lays the foundations for further growth by MULTIVAC in the region.
Siew Keat Tung has been promoted to Managing Director of Multivac Malaysia. He also took over the management of the Multivac Singapore subsidiary at the start of the year. The previous managing director, Soon Heng (Robin) Lim, will leave the company at the end of February 2021.
