 The 216,000-square-foot BTS cold storage facility marks the largest economic development project in McIntosh County, Georgia. 

Once fully complete, the facility will create over 250 jobs for Macon and its surrounding communities, offering competitive benefits from day one.

The facility is perfectly suited for handling frozen import/export commodities like poultry, seafood, produce, and other perishable products. 

FreshRealm will add several new lines, allowing a full assortment of products, including ready-to-heat and ready-to-cook meals, meal kits and more.

 This project marks a significant addition to the export potential of poultry, pork and meat producers in the U.S. Southeast and Midwest.

The 270,000-square-foot building will feature Alta EXPERT Refrigeration Systems and QFM blast freezing, the latest evolution in QuickFreeze technology.

Walmart is planning to break ground on the milk processing facility later this year and the project is scheduled to be completed in 2025.

Opening in 2025, it will serve 750 Walmart, Sam’s Club stores in the region.
