United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI), Providence, R.I., entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all of the stock of Tony’s Fine Foods.

Fleet Advantage, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., delivered its proprietary data-driven lifecycle management initiative to Tony’s Fine Foods, helping the West Sacramento, Calif.-based company meet California Air Resources Board (CARB) laws, experience fuel average improvements and optimize approximately $1 million in savings over the projected lifecycle of the new equipment.

Tony's Fine Foods, West Sacramento, Calif., said it agreed to buy Columbus Distributing Inc., the Hayward, Calif., perishable foods distribution division of Columbus Foods LLC.

Sara Lee Foods expects in December to complete a 131,610-square-foot addition at the company's Chicago-area mixing center.
