Directors for Mexico's Sigma Alimentos (Sigma) and Bar-S Foods Co. (Bar-S) said today that they agreed to merge Sigma’s U.S. business and Bar-S, a Phoenix-based meat processor.
Although it plans to keep its Longmont, Colo., turkey hot dog processing plant, Butterball LLC, Garner, N.C., sold its Longmont brand to Sigma Alimentos.
