Robert Steven (Bobby) Horowitz, age 71, Atlanta native, resident of Nevada and part-time in California, died in a riptide accident in Sarasota, Florida, Tuesday, June 9. An internationally recognized leader in the food industry, he revolutionized new food products and introduced novel ways to produce and market them. A committed philanthropist, he also practiced the Golden Rule in his business management and personal lives.
Quantum Foods, LLC, a Bolingbrook, Ill., independent custom provider of value-added proteins, is in the final stages of negotiating a sale of substantially all its business to CTI Foods Holding Co., LLC, Wilder, Idaho.
