Improved Performance, Environmental Impact for Low and Medium Temps

Chemours Opteon XL20 (R-454C) is a non-ozone depleting, low global warming potential (GWP), hydrofluoro-olefin-based refrigerant developed to replace R-404A, R-507A, R-449A, and R-448A in cold chain applications. Opteon XL20 offers a performance increase of 6% over R-404A while granting similar discharge temperatures at a slightly reduced capacity. Because Opteon XL20 is a mildly flammable refrigerant (ASHRAE Safety Group: A2L), it can be used in new equipment only.
