Finnish Co-Manufacturer of Plant-Based Dairy Earns Investment

The Finnish Food Factory has secured a significant EUR 10 million growth investment from Taaleri's bioindustry-focused fund, Bioindustry I.
Finnish Food Factory is the leading independent contract manufacturer of plant-based dairy products in the Nordic countries. It offers customers solutions for bringing new products to the market without requiring them to invest in their production facilities.
The company's growth is driven by its broad customer base and ability to efficiently deliver high-quality, competitive products on schedule. Its clients include well-known global and Nordic food brands, such as Fazer. Finnish Food Factory's revenue has grown more than tenfold, from EUR 1.2 million in 2020 to EUR 13.5 million in 2024.
The spearhead of Finnish Food Factory's growth is the contract manufacturing of plant-based dairy products and related innovations.
"Finnish raw materials, especially oats, have established their place in consumer diets. Our experience with plant-based products goes back many years, and the cornerstone of our entire operation is efficient, innovative, and reliable production," said Tuomas Kukkonen, chairman of the board at Finnish Food Factory.
“We are pleased to begin our collaboration with Finnish Food Factory. With its experienced team, the company has achieved successful growth in both local and international markets while consistently delivering reliable production and value-add to its global customers,” said Marjatta Rytömaa, managing director at Taaleri Bioindustry.
The company is one of the few dairy producers in Europe with zero-emission production. The production facility is in Kouvola, close to key raw materials, affordable energy and clean water, which provides a cost advantage compared to many European competitors.
