Albertville Quality Foods acquired Sunrise
Foods, adding more than $100 million in additional
revenue to the combined company.
Albertville Quality Foods, Inc., Albertville, Ala., acquired Sunrise Foods, LLC, a processor of protein-based products also based in Albertville, Ala. The Sunrise operation is highly complementary to AQF’s operation and will add more than $100 million in additional revenues to the combined company.
The combined company will service a marquee list of foodservice, restaurant and retail customers through its operation of three facilities and eight state-of-the art production lines.
Jerry Wilson joined the company as chief executive officer, responsible for leading the combined business. He brings several decades of industry experience to the role, most recently acting as executive vice president Pilgrim's Pride. Also, Joseph Blancato, CEO of Sunrise, will join the board.
