Global food processing equipment and energy services supplier GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft, Bochum, Germany, said its GEA Refrigeration division has combined three process freezing and chilling equipment businesses into a new group.

Newly formed GEA Freezing combines the leadership and technologies of Aerofreeze, Richmond, B.C., and Nantes, France; Eurotek Engineering Ltd., Norwich, U.K.; and Intec USA, Durham, N.C. GEA Freezing designs and manufactures in-line tunnel, spiral and carton freezers/chillers for large food processors.

"Food processors around the world will benefit from the shared resources, technical expertise and service support our combined companies will provide," said Jean-Michel Daviaud, vice president of GEA Refrigeration. "Our individual records of innovation and customer service are now coming together to address the food processor's need for improved hygiene and more energy-efficient operations."

GEA Freezing will exhibit at both the Process Expo, Oct. 5-7, 2009, in Las Vegas (booth #6802); and at the World Wide Food Expo, Oct. 28-31 in Chicago (booth #S3300).
