MEAT & POULTRY BRIEFS: Needing to cut costs, chicken processing giant Pilgrim's Pride Corp., Pittsburg, Texas, said it will eliminate approximately 355 salaried and salaried non-exempt positions across the company. . . . Media reports say Boar's Head Provisions Co. Inc., Sarasota, Fla., will move ahead with a $24 million expansion at the company's Holland, Mich., meat processing operation. The company first discussed plans to boost weekly production capacity (by 750,000 pounds) last March.
