Judges evaluated new offerings on criteria specific to each category including taste and appearance, efficacy, convenience and practicality, packaging and merchandising, as well as originality and marketability.

TheBest Overall Organic Foodservicenew product was a functional frozen yogurt from Cloud Top, Pasadena, Calif.
Contest judges included Scott Silverman, category director (natural & organic), Winn-Dixie Stores Inc.; Steve Schoultz, contract manufacturing, Sara Lee Corp.; and Vaughan Lazar, president and founder of Pizza Fusion.
