Execs on the move at Kraft, Oakhurst
Kraft Foods, Northfield, Ill., said Timothy R. McLevish, 55, executive vice president and chief financial officer, will leave the company mid-year 2011 to pursue opportunities in general management. Kraft said it will shift CFO responsibilities to David Brearton, executive vice president, operations, after the company files its first quarter financial statements.
"While we're sorry to see Tim go, I'm very pleased to announce that we have a talented and respected successor within Kraft Foods to step into the role," said Kraft Chairman & CEO Irene Rosenfeld. "Dave has more than 25 years of experience in senior financial and broader cross-functional roles both domestically and internationally. I'm confident that Dave's deep understanding of the consumer packaged goods industry and his intimate knowledge of Kraft Foods will enable him to step into the CFO role seamlessly and continue our drive toward top-tier financial performance."
Brearton began his career with the company in 1984 in his native Canada. He progressed through a series of senior finance roles, including as SVP, Finance, Kraft Foods International, and as Corporate Controller. Since that time, he has led several functions, including: Strategy; Mergers & Acquisitions, during the time Kraft Foods acquired the LU biscuit business; Information Systems, during the company's "Catalyst" SAP implementation; and most recently as the head of operations, overseeing Kraft's procurement, manufacturing, and customer service and logistics functions.
Kraft said it has begun searching to replace Brearton as executive vice president, operations.
Oakhurst Dairy, Portland, Me., said it named Bill Bennett president, following the death of his brother Stan Bennett, who passed away on Wednesday, February 23. Stan Bennett was named president of Oakhurst in 1983, replacing their father who retired at that time to serve as chairman. Bill Bennett joined the dairy in 1975 and has been involved in operations as a senior manager for the last two decades. He most recently has served as chief operating officer.
