Teamsters Local 200 members said they were informed that Saputo Inc., Montreal, expects to close a condensed milk processing plant in Fon du Lac, Wis., by the end of this year. Company officials attributed the decision to operations efficiency concerns, as well as reduced demand for sweetened dairy products. The operation employs about 30 people.
