Citing increased sales to food processors, business enterprise and on-demand software supplier AFS Technologies Inc., Phoenix, said it namedLance Andersonas vice president, national sales-food manufacturing. Officials said Anderson has more than 15 years experience in the food industry, with the last six years at IRM Corporation and AFS.

Avatar Corporation, University Park, Ill., said it hiredBill Kerseyas product manager for the company's Food Grade Lubricants division. Kersey formerly was product manager, Grease & Food Grade Lubricants, for Fuchs Lubricants Co.


Propack Processing & Packaging Systems, Beamsville, Ontario, announced a change its business relationship with packaging equipment supplierBradman Lake Inc., Charlotte, N.C. A robotic automation specialist, Propack supplies the LJ Robotic Top Loader System. Bradman Lake is part of the Bradman Lake Group, a global British-based company supplying feeding, wrapping, cartoning and casepacking systems.

Both companies have worked closely together since 1999 with Bradman-Lake being licensed to manufacture products that they have designed, developed and manufactured using Propack LJ technology.

"Though this business relationship has proven to be very successful for both companies, continued changes in the marketplace have shifted their respective business objectives," officials said. "Effective immediately, it has been mutually agreed to market their respective products independent of each other."

Propack said it start supplying wrapping and cartoning systems to compliment the LJ Robotic toploader.
Bradman Lake said it will continue to develop their approach of "integrated packaging technology" utilizing products within its portfolio to supply equipment from standalone machines to single-source turnkey packaging systems to its customers, with no business restrictions on their top loader systems they have now developed.
