Refrigerated and frozen soups processor Kettle Cuisine said its Chelsea, Mass., plant earned Level 2 Safe Quality Food (SQF) Certification from the SQF Institute. A division of The Food Marketing Institute, the SQF Institute administers certification programs covering a company's global food safety, quality and management systems.
Tillamook County Creamery Association, Tillamook, Ore., said it hired William Tennant Jr., as vice president of operations. Tennant has more than 20 years of operations experience and recently served as vice president of operations of Ricos Products, San Antonio, Texas. He also has held operations posts at Pepsi-Co Frito Lay, officials said. Tillamook processes natural cheeses, butter, sour cream, yogurt and other dairy products.
