Boston officials have approved plans for a $70 million seafood processing plant in the city’s marine industrial park, according to a report byThe Boston Globe
. Plans call forAmerican Seafood Exchange(ASE) to build a 350,000-square-foot facility on city-owned property. Officials said the operation will employ up to 1,500 people and include cold storage and packing operations. There were no further details about ASE.
