Pro Mach, Middleby in supplier news

Food packaging equipment supplier Pro Mach, Inc., Cincinnati, said it was acquired by The Resolute Fund II, L.P. for an undisclosed amount from Odyssey Investment Partners, LLC. Resolute is an affiliate of The Jordan Company, a New York, N.Y.-based investment group.

“We are proud to announce our new ownership under The Jordan Company,” said Mark Anderson, Pro Mach president and CEO. “Our management team and I look forward to partnering with them to accelerate our growth strategy and build on our position as one of the largest packaging machinery manufacturers in North America.”

Pro Mach equipment brands include Allpax, Axon, Brenton, Currie by Brenton, Dekka, Fowler, ID Technology, IPak, LSI, Orion, Ossid, Rennco, Roberts PolyPro, Shuttleworth, Wexxar/Bel, and ProCustomer.



The Middleby Corporation, Elgin, Ill., said it purchased meat processing equipment supplier SFK-Danfotech Inc., Kansas City, Mo., for an undisclosed amount SFK systems A/S. well established as a supplier of restaurant and in-store deli food equipment, Middleby said it purchased Danfotech to expand its food processing platform.

Danfotech has annual sales of approximately $5 million, officials said. Danfotech products include meat tenderizers, tumblers, presses and defrosting systems.

“With this acquisition, we further broaden our innovative product offering to our food processing customers," he said. "The Danfotech line of products complements our existing portfolio of products under the Alkar, Cozzini, MP Equipment and Rapidpak brands. This acquisition further extends our ability to offer unique processing solutions that improve the efficiency and reduce costs of our customers' processing operations. We believe there are opportunities to significantly increase revenues of Danfotech products by leveraging the strength of our existing sales infrastructure and strong customer relationships.”
