Frozen food giantPinnacle Foods Group LLCsaid it namedChristopher J. Boever executive vice president and chief customer officer. Pinnacle said Boever has more than 20 years of experience in sales management and most recently served as senior vice president, sales at ConAgra Foods, Inc. where he led the direct and broker sales organization for ConAgra's Consumer Division.

Pinnacle, Parsippany, N.J., said  Boever will lead its U.S. retail sales force and broker organization. He will report directly to CEO Bob Gamgort.

“Chris brings to Pinnacle extensive sales retail leadership experience and a strong track record of driving growth,” said Gamgort.

Boever joined ConAgra Foods in 2007 as vice president sales planning and advanced through positions of increasing responsibility including both planning and operations strategy across a portfolio of frozen, grocery, refrigerated and snack food brands. Prior to ConAgra Foods, he worked at Hormel Foods, Austin, Minn., from 1991 to 2007.

Pinnacle'sBirds Eye Frozen Divisionincludes brands such as Birds Eye®, Birds Eye Steamfresh®, C&W®, McKenzie’s®, and Fresh like® vegetables, Birds Eye Voila!® complete bag meals, Aunt Jemima® frozen breakfasts, Swanson® and Hungry-Man® dinners and entrees, Van de Kamp’s® and Mrs. Paul’s® seafood, Lender’s® bagels and Celeste® pizza.

Duncan Hines Grocery Division manages brands such as Duncan Hines® baking mixes and frostings, Vlasic® pickles, peppers, and relish, Comstock® and Wilderness® Fruit Pie Fillings, Mrs. Butterworth’s® and Log Cabin® syrups, Armour® canned meats, Nalley® and Brooks® chili and chili ingredients, and Open Pit® barbecue sauces.

A third, Specialty Foods Division includes Tim’s Cascade Snacks®, Hawaiian™ Kettle Style Potato Chips, Snyder of Berlin® and Husman’s® in addition to foodservice and private label businesses.
