Kahiki Tempura ChickenAlready known for frozen Asian entrees and side dishes, Kahiki Foods, Gahanna, Ohio, is branching into bagged products in the freezercase. This spring the company will roll out all-natural tempura white meat chicken in four varieties: General Tso’s, Sweet and Sour, Crispy Honey and Mandarin Orange. The items come packaged in resealable 26-ounce bags for multi-use convenience. All varieties contain zero grams trans fat, no MSG or artificial additives and each starts at just 150 calories per serving. Each variety comes with a signature sauce packet.

“Our consumers are telling us they are looking for value and the best way to stretch their meal planning - without sacrificing quality and convenience,” says Tim Tsao, vice president of sales and marketing. “Tempura white chicken is our signature item and we have put it into a brand new bagged format that allows for multiple-use occasions. Now families and kids can enjoys their favorite chicken nuggets, but with a fun Asian twist.”
