Jamba Juice frozen novelties

March 8, 2010

Looking for that Jamba Juice experience? Now it's as close as the nearest supermarket.

Fruit smoothie store operator Jamba Juice Company, Emeryville, Calif., said it begun national distribution for a namesake retail line of frozen fruit sorbet and frozen fruit sorbet & yogurt bars. The products are packed by Oregon Ice Cream, Eugene, Ore.

Officials say new novelties feature "the same tasty, fruit-filled, wholesome fare" in Jamba's popular smoothies. They note that the all-natural bars feature real fruit, provide a good source of Vitamin C, and contain pre-biotic fiber. Each box contains four 2.5 ounce bars and retails for about $3.99.

There are two flavors of Frozen Fruit Sorbet Bars: Peach Blackberry Smash and Strawberry Lemonade Swirl. New Jamba Frozen Fruit Sorbet & Yogurt Bars come in three flavors including Vanilla Strawberry Jubilation, Vanilla Blueberry Pomegranate Perfection and Coconut Pineapple Passion Smashin'.

"The Jamba Bars are a unique way to bring the fun, delicious, high quality products we offer in-store, home," said Susan Shields, Jamba Juice chief marketing officer.  "With five tasty, all natural, fruit-filled flavors, the new frozen novelties are the perfect after school snack, indulgent after dinner treat or afternoon pick-me-up you won't feel guilty about eating. This wholesome product doesn't sacrifice on taste - it will be hard to eat just one."

"We were extremely careful in picking the highest quality ingredients and combining them with the unique flavor profiles Jamba offers to create this wholesome and delicious treat," said Tom Gleason, president, Oregon Ice Cream.  "We absolutely believe that dessert can be fun and guilt-free at the same time - this is a bar that belongs in everyone's freezer!"
