Californians can now pick up Rite Aid's private label brandThriftyIce Cream in six new flavors, including two Greek-style non-fat frozen yogurts.

"Rite Aid is proud to be one of the first retailers to offer Greek-style frozen yogurt," says Ron Simmer, general manager of theThrifty Ice Cream plant in El Monte, Calif. "Like the many storiedThrifty flavors that came before, our Greek-style varieties are primarily sourced, made and distributed in California-all for about half the price of most national competitors."

Two of the new flavors-Blueberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Lovers-are crafted in the Greek style, which is characterized by higher protein content, lower levels of lactose and live probiotic cultures. A third Greek-style flavor-Strawberry-is coming soon.

The above-mentioned flavors join newcomers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Red Velvet, Mint 'n Chip and Pistachio Nut. All six of the new flavors are available in take-home pint containers at nearly all California Rite Aid stores for $2.29 each.
