Blue Bell Creameries, Brenham, Texas, added a Chocolate Peanut Butter variety to its ice cream portfolio.

“There is no fancy gimmick to this flavor,” says Paul Kruse, president and CEO. “It’s plain and simple creamy peanut butter surrounded by an equally creamy chocolate ice cream. Chocolate Peanut Butter is one of those flavors that you can’t stop eating because it tastes that good. When we created this flavor, it could have gone two ways. You could either make it like we did or with chocolate peanut butter cups in the ice cream. We liked the idea of swirling the peanut butter because it mixes so smoothly with our ice cream.”
