Ready-to-Eat Açaí Bowls
Sambazon, San Clemente, Calif., launched new ready-to-eat, frozen Açaí Bowls, each crafted with USDA Organic açaí berries wild harvested in the Brazilian Amazon 
Rainforest.
“Açaí has long been held as one of most nutritionally dense superfoods on the planet, and most widely known as a juice packed with antioxidants and omegas,” said Ryan Therriault vice president of marketing. “What most people don’t know is that in Brazil, açaí is most commonly consumed as a whole food açaí bowl and it is one of the only fruits with virtually no sugar. With these new product offerings, we’re reinventing the ways in which people can enjoy the delicious powers of açaí through a convenient ready-to-eat Acai Bowl.”
The new Açaí Bowls are certified USDA organic, non-GMO project verified, vegan and made with Ecocert Fair Trade ingredients.
Each 4.75-ounce serving boasts 6 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein. Thawing in only three minutes from the freezer, each bowl comes complete with organic Nature’s Path granola.
They come in Açaí Berry and Açaí Berry + Strawberry + Blueberry, and are available in natural health food stores and grocers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $4.49.
