To manage the dramatic increase in customer demand, temperature-controlled transportation and logistics services provider KOOL PAK LLC, Oswego, Ore., announced plans to expand its west coast services through an agreement with Sierra Pacific in Patterson, Calif.

By partnering together, KOOL PAK now offers an allocated capacity of 20,000 square feet of both chilled and frozen storage. Headed by operations manager Blake McClearn, KOOL PAK provides customers with freezer, cooler and dry storage services, blast freezing, cross docking, consolidation and re-delivery services on a daily basis from the northern California facility.

“As with all of our west coast facilities, we feature temperature-controlled docks to protect our clients’ products through the entire distribution channel,” adds McClearn.

Industry veteran Tim Layhee will serve as business development manager for the Northern California market.

“With five locations, we now provide extended service levels for higher volumes of temperature-sensitive products along the entire west coast, with our facilities in Ontario and Patterson, Portland, Seattle and Langley, BC,” he adds.

Located off I-5 with easy access to all major West Bay, East Bay, South Bay and North Bay areas, KOOL PAK Patterson provides efficient pickup and delivery from Bakersfield to Redding. The warehouse is located at 340 South 1st Street. Backed by a fleet of 53-foot multi-temp refrigerated trailers, KOOL PAK also has electronic data interchange, including status updates and online order tracking.
