NestFresh, Denver, Colo., updated its brand packaging on all varieties of NestFresh eggs to follow suit with the company’s commitment to focus on the heart of the NestFresh brown eggs packagingbrand—the hens.

Just in time for the California SEFS compliance update— a state statute prohibiting the confinement of farm animals in a manner that does not allow them to turn around freely, lie down, stand up or fully extend their limbs that becomes effective Jan. 1, 2015—communicates the company’s leadership in the movement for increased humane practices of hens across the country.

Several of the new labels showcase photos taken at NestFresh farms across the country, incorporating cage-free barns and natural living conditions.

NestFresh eggs are part of the Hidden Villa Ranch brand family, which announced in August that its adding 600,000 birds over the next year for production across the country to avoid shortage of specialty cage-free, free-range, non-GMO, organic and pasture-raised eggs.
