PALLET, LIFT TRUCK SERIES CONTRIBUTES TO MORE SUSTAINABLE OPERATIONS

The Raymond Corp., Greene, N.Y., launched a plethora of pallet and lift trucks designed to deliver more sustainable operations.

For example, the new8000 Series pallet truck stands up to tough applications whilemaximizing productivityandcontributingto moresustainableoperations.Thenew 8000 Series pallet trucks offer advancedengineering and fine-tuned designs. Created with durabilityin mind, the8000 Seriespallet trucks feature significant increases in material strengthand boastanumber ofuser-friendlyfeatures, suchas roomyoperatorcompartments with paddingandmultiple lean points, accessorybars with lights and fans, largestoragetotes andadditional casteroptions. Thetrucks alsooffer PowerSteer, which helps operatorsreducesteering efforts byup to 90%and provides speed-sensitive steeringforoptimized productivityand precise, smooth control at allspeeds.

The new Raymond7000 Series Reach- Fork trucks feature productivity-enhancing lift and lower speeds for performance without compromise. They are optimized for energy efficiency through Raymond Eco-Performance, which is the company’s approach to designing and engineering lift truck solutions for maximum economic and ecological benefits. This includes regenerative lowering, which produces energy when the forks are lowered to increase battery shift life, and reducing the need for downtime created by changing and charging batteries.

Key features include an intuitive control handle that decreases training time and improves overall operator comfort, a patented open view mast designed for unprecedented visibility, an optional Vantage Point camera that offers advanced height and tilt information via a monitor mounted in the operator compartment, low step height with universal deadman pedal for increased operator comfort, A-frame suspension with strong steel springs to provide a solid connection between the wheels and frame, an exclusive steered idler wheel to eliminate caster snap and full-time traction and steering and an external encoder, see-through reservoir and fewer moving parts to simplify maintenance and reduce downtime.

The new Models 4150 and 4250 stand-up counterbalanced lift trucks feature greater visibility, increased maneuverability provided by agile steering, shorter head length and dual steer tires. Capable of load capacities from 3,000-5,000 pounds, these stand-up counterbalanced lift trucks come equipped with the unique ComfortStance suspension and cushioned floor mat, which isolates operators from impact and vibration. The suspension adapts automatically to each operator’s weight and features only nine parts for simple maintenance. Operator comfort is further enhanced by a low step height into the ergonomically designed operator compartment, which includes a durable cover with contoured padding, a 3-tiered scalloped armrest, a multi-function control handle and an optional extended operator backrest.

The PICK2PALLET LED light system is designed to help eliminate or reduce picking errors by using LED technology to visually reinforce product placement for order fulfillment in batch picking applications. It maximizes operator productivity by directing operators where to place product, thus enabling them to quickly move to the next pick with confidence.

The Model 9800 Swing-Reach truck is engineered to triple pallet capacity in existing square footage by reaching heights of 40-50 feet in very narrow aisle storage facilities. Its advanced lift system with regenerative lowering is said to reduce energy use by 40% per lift cycle. And, a unique articulated steering system increases maneuverability and frees up space for additional storage locations.

The RadioShuttle load-carrier system is designed to maximize warehouse volume by offering ultra-high-density storage with individual storage rack access. Through remote control units, the system reduces damage to goods and the rack itself by moving pallets through storage tunnels prior to being picked.

The Raymond Corp. also introduced iWAREHOUSE Essential and iWAREHOUSE Enterprise, new iWAREHOUSE solutions that combine fleet efficiency, warehouse optimization and professional services. iWAREHOUSE Essential provides access control and compliance and monitors and collects lift truck and operator data in real time, allowing warehouse managers to increase visibility of assets and labor. iWAREHOUSE Enterprise turns that collected asset and labor information into actionable data to help warehouse managers identify opportunities for fleet and warehouse optimization. The solution integrates with select labor management systems (LMSs) to help increase productivity and reduce operating costs.

Meanwhile, iWAREHOUSE Enterprise manages and reports truck, fleet and operator data to enhance fleet optimization, as well as provides data and analysis for actionable business solutions for warehouse optimization. Unique to iWAREHOUSE Enterprise, integration with select LMS systems provide greater warehouse visibility, increase asset utilization and provide information to audit labor standards to help increase employee productivity. iWAREHOUSE Enterprise also offers tailored consulting services through trained Raymond professionals who analyze data and help identify opportunities to increase productivity and decrease operating costs.

Raymond also updated its iWAREHOUSE reporting user interface, known as the iWAREHOUSE GATEWAY, to include responsive web design for smooth and intuitive user interaction on any device—from mobile to desktop computer. The dashboard is customizable with advanced data filtering controls that allow customers to easily access and view pertinent information. There also is the ability to zoom, filter, show and hide information.
