Indiana Packers Corp. announced plans to add 91 new jobs and invest $40.6 million to double bacon processing capacity at its Delphi, Ind., headquarters processing facility. The planned 43,000-square-foot expansion will focus on increasing space for bacon processing and employee welfare. The company expects hiring to begin around the second quarter of 2016.

“We are very excited about our expansion plans because it will enhance our competitiveness and help secure the future of our bacon business and the jobs associated with it,” says Russ Yearwood, president and COO. “We’re grateful to the state of Indiana, the Indiana Economic Development Corp., the Carroll County Economic Development Corp. and the city of Delphi for everything they have done to make this project possible. We appreciate doing business in Indiana and are glad we can reinvest in our Delphi plant.”
