Sargento Foods, Plymouth, Wis.,announced plans to expand 60,000 square feet adjacent to its Hilbert, Wis., facility.
The existing plant is located on Highway 57 and was last remodeled and expanded in 2011. Sargento Foods produces products for retail, foodservice and ingredients at this location.
“Sargento remains steadfast in our commitment to growing in Wisconsin,” says Louie Gentine, chief executive officer. “We look forward to increasing our facilities in Hilbert to add production capacity.”
The plant currently employs 135 people and expects to add 140 incremental jobs.
Construction will begin during the fourth quarter of 2015 with occupancy expected by late 2016.
