Broad Street Licensing Group brokers licensing agreement for Tony Roma’s products at retail

This deal enables Tony Roma’s ribs and BBQ meats to be sold in U.S. retail channels.

Broad Street Licensing Group, the Montclair, N.J., agent for the Tony Roma Restaurant brand, brokered a deal with Ruprecht Co., Mundelein, Ill., for an extensive line of sous vide meats, including ribs and BBQ for retail.

“By leveraging Ruprecht’s restaurant-quality meats and working in cooperation with Tony Roma’s award-winning culinary team, Tony Roma’s ribs and BBQ meats sold in U.S. retail channels will taste just like the world-class product sold in Tony Roma’s restaurants around the world,” says Stephen Judge, president and CEO of Romacorp, Inc, the Orlando, Fla.-based parent company of Tony Roma’s. “We are excited to work with Ruprecht and leverage their sous vide cooking method, ensuring Tony Roma’s retail products will be produced without preservatives, retain greater nutritional content and be the best-tasting and safest product possible for our customers and their families.”

In March 2016, the Tony Roma’s brand of pre-cooked refrigerated meats underwent a packaging makeover.
