Dean Foods shutters PET dairy plant
The 3.1-acre property is owned by Land-O-Sun Dairies LLC, a Dean Foods subsidiary.
Dean Foods Co., Dallas, Texas, announced plans to close its PET dairy plant in Richmond, Va.
“Dean Foods is consolidating its operations and will be ending production at its PET dairy fluid milk processing plant in Richmond,” the company said in a statement. “Production will be phased out over the next few months, and approximately 75 positions will be eliminated. We will continue to maintain significant operations in High Point, N.C., and Winston-Salem, N.C., and our products will continue to be available in the region.”
