The heavy-duty Pro Series includes the Pro1000i FS and Pro 2000i FS depositors, featuring a large conical hopper and precision-height adjustment for use with various pumps and conveyor systems. Capable of a large deposit range up to 93 ounces and able to deposit up to 110 deposits per minute, the series is ideal for clean depositing of sauces, ready meals, sandwich fillings, deli salads, meat fillings and other flowable products. The Pro Series includes angled surface covers to eliminate pooling of water and food particles.

Made of chemical and corrosion-resistant HDPE, HoseGard is engineered to elevate the hose to keep it clean and reduce wear and tear. The 2-piece design with stainless-steel socket head cap screws easily installs on the hose, stays in place and allows the hose to slide across the floor. The built-in handle facilitates movement, placement and carrying of the hose.

X-RAY INSPECTION SYSTEM WITH CUSTOMIZABLE FEATURES
The new X37 Series of x-ray inspection systems from Mettler-Toledo Safeline can be configured with different detector sensitivity options supported by a range of power generators to detect and reject contaminants, such as metal, glass, calcified bone, mineral stone and high-density plastics. This customization enables food manufacturers to create a system specifically designed to suit their individual application, whilst complying with safety regulations and guidelines. To suit a variety of tall, rigid packaging applications, manufacturers can choose between a 0.4mm and a 0.8mm detector diode, which is said to be five times more sensitive to x-rays than traditional systems. The X37 Series can be integrated onto existing customer lines, achieves high throughput levels of up to 1,200 containers per minute and performs additional quality control checks, such as assessing the fill level of products, measuring head space, detecting missing caps on plastic bottles, identifying agglomerates, such as flavor and powder lumps, confirming the presence of a vacuum and inspecting for packaging defects.

INVERTER LINE FOR TRUCKING INDUSTRY
Xantrex, owned by Schneider Electric, introduced the Freedom X sine wave inverter line for the trucking industry. Available in 1,000- and 2,000-watt units with an optional built-in 3-stage battery charger (Freedom XC), the new inverters are said to deliver 2 times more surge power up to 2 seconds for motor loads. The Freedom X converts DC power into the “cleanest” AC power available, and works in unison with traditional batteries, including lithium-ion ones. The Freedom X can also charge dead batteries drained to 0 volts, and can be quickly installed, thanks to quick connect terminals. Improved climate protection means the inverter provides full output in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 104°F. Plus, the display panel can be mounted in the sleeper, and shows the AC and battery current and percent of inverter output.

Flexicon’s new BULK-OUT low-profile discharger positions intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) weighing up to 3,200 pounds in the frame using an electric hoist and trolley, discharges bulk solid materials into a surge hopper and conveys the material to a downstream process dust-free. Lifting arms fitted with four eye hooks connect to the mobile IBC frame, which is equipped with four inverted cradle cups that mate with corresponding posts on the discharger frame for precise positioning of the IBC outlet. When lowered into position, the tapered outlet of the IBCs’ butterfly discharge valve mates with a gasketed receiving ring on the lid of a surge hopper, allowing opening of the valve and discharging of material with no dusting. The surge hopper is available with an integral flexible screw conveyor, tubular cable conveyor or pneumatic conveying system.
