Iowa Cage Free expands egg production facility
Once operational in June, the plant will produce 430,000 eggs per day to be used in manufacturing products such as mayonnaise.
Iowa Cage Free expanded its Goldfield, Iowa-based headquarters operation.
The new barn consists of a 2-floor structure with four cage-free confinement areas, two per floor. Each area houses 135,000 cage-free layers for a total barn capacity of 540,000 birds.
