AIT Worldwide Logistics, Itasca, Ill., opened a new full-service station in Qingdao, China.

Located in Shandong province, AIT-Qingdao is the organization’s seventh office in China. The new location enhances the company’s ability to serve existing customers representing diverse industries such as energy technology, environmental services and industrial building materials. The office also boosts AIT’s ability to provide logistics solutions for customers requiring a local representative in Qingdao.

The new office is situated 10 kilometers from Qingdao Port with access to Qingdao International Airport. The facility also provides a complete slate of flexible supply chain services, including air, intermodal, ground distribution, customs brokerage and warehouse management.

“Opening the new AIT-Qingdao office is an important investment in AIT's Asia Pacific development strategy,” says Greg Weigel, executive vice president global operations. “This location strengthens the connections to many key customers in the U.S. with our transpacific import service. AIT is thrilled to participate in the vibrant industrial economy of Qingdao, one of China’s Top 10 GDP growth areas.”
