Braunger Foods ceases operation
US Foods acquired Braunger Foods in July 2017.
Braunger Foods, Sioux City, Iowa, announced plans to shut down the facility Sept. 7, impacting 14 employees.
“After careful evaluation of our footprint, we have decided to transition the Sioux City operations to our Sioux Falls, S.D., facility to support our long-term plans in the Midwest region,” says Sara Matheu, director of media relations for US Foods, Rosemont, Ill.

Braunger Foods is a wholesale distributor of meat and other food products to restaurants.
