Refrigerated Foods Association, Partnership for Food Safety Education collaborate to educate consumers on food safety

Refrigerated Foods Association (RFA), Marietta, Ga., announced plans to join forces with the Partnership for Food Safety Education (PFSE), Arlington, Va., to help educate consumers on the steps they can take while handling food to reduce the risk of a foodborne illness.
By becoming a partner of Partners of the PFSE, RFA is committed to improving public health outcomes by reducing foodborne illness. Partners of the PFSE are thought leaders, collaborators, amplifiers and sustaining supporters of raising awareness of safe food handling practices.
“The RFA is excited and proud to join forces with the Partnership for Food Safety Education. Our mission is to advance and safeguard the refrigerated foods industry, and part and parcel with that mission is to produce and deliver safe food products from farm to table,” says Josh Knott, president of RFA and president of Knott’s Foods, Paris, Tenn.
