Wells Enterprises to purchase former Unilever ice cream manufacturing plant
This purchase will expand Wells’ current manufacturing capacity and adds an important footprint in the West.
Wells Enterprises, Inc., Le Mars, Iowa, signed a purchase agreement with Unilever, Englewood Cliffs, N.J., for its Henderson, Nev., ice cream manufacturing plant. This purchase will expand Wells’ current manufacturing capacity and adds an important footprint in the West.
“The Henderson acquisition benefits both parties. The facility has been well-maintained with high-quality employees ready and excited to continue making ice cream,” says Mike Wells, president and CEO of Wells Enterprises. “The facility provides an even larger platform for growth while positioning us to better serve our customers. Wells intends to have the industry-leading infrastructure and best practices to become the leader in quality, innovation, food safety and operational effectiveness in the ice cream category.”
