Nutpods, the industry leading coffee creamer company has recently introduced a new refrigerated product line: zero sugar oat creamer. These two refrigerated flavors, Original and Cinnamon Swirl, follow a successful online-only launch of shelf-stable oat Original and French Vanilla and are part of a rapidly increasing number of oat-based alternative dairy products. Nutpods’ chilled oat lineup will launch in the coming months at the three largest natural retailers: Sprouts, Whole Foods, and Fresh Thyme.

EDL Packaging announces David O’Keefe has been named Director of Sales at its Green Bay, Wisconsin location. In his new role, David will be responsible for leading the EDL sales team, and managing key EDL Packaging client relationships. With Massman complementary product lines, EDL also anticipates David positioning the company for continued growth by providing broader and more complete solutions to its customers. 

Tray-sealing specialist Proseal has launched a tray-positioning system that calculates the required tray spacing set-up parameters for individual tray sealing tool-sets, eliminating the trial-and-error usually associated with this process. The new patent-pending ProPosition feature automatically identifies the best position for trays, to ensure the perfect alignment every time.

Pregis, a leading manufacturer of innovative protective packaging products, has donated more than 5,000 Penguin Pack insulated box liners to Lakeview Pantry, Chicago’s largest food pantry. The donation enabled thousands of senior citizens, and other homebound individuals, to safely receive packages of healthy, fresh groceries through the Pantry’s Home Delivery program.

My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream announces its newest innovation, the single-serve and two-pack packaging designs, are now patent-pending. The patent-pending application covers single fully enclosed mochi ice cream containers, two-pack mochi ice cream containers among others.

Jan Glass succeeded Dr. Juergen Kuske as Chief Financial Officer of the Optima Group on May 1, 2020.  As a result, in collaboration with Hans Buehler, the Managing Director, he is taking over the management of the central departments at the company.

Brands has opened a new 45,000-square-foot distribution facility in Rhome, Texas (near Dallas) as well as a new facility in Guanajuato, Mexico (near León). The brand, which focuses on small-batch guacamole, salsa and queso products, is moving further into in the avocado and high-pressure processing (HPP) industries. 

A new look for a kitchen classic from the refrigerated section: SÜDPACK is launching two innovative packaging concepts for minced meat that do without bottom trays. What is more, the two concepts are mono-material packaging solutions based on polypropylene (PP). They stand out for their excellent recyclability and significantly lower material consumption compared to standard packaging, which makes these solutions especially resource-saving, while also scoring in terms of sustainability at the point of sale.
