Maintaining food quality and safety is a goal shared by all stakeholders in the perishable supply chain.

Meatable, the innovative food tech company on a mission to deliver cultivated meat at scale, has successfully hosted the first-ever legally approved cultivated meat tasting in the European Union. 

 Regions worldwide reported increased capacity and several new companies joined GCCA in the past year. 

Completed in 2023, the installation paves the way for companies throughout the commercial refrigeration industry to embrace refrigerant technologies that are both cost-effective and environmentally sustainable.

The modern distribution facility includes 12,000 square feet of fully automated freezer capacity, end-to-end research and development capabilities, automated production lines to increase their sales capacity, and space for five additional production lines. 

At 262,000 square feet, the Charleston facility boasts convenient proximity to Interstates 26 and 95 for convenient transportation access to and from the port as well as interior U.S. destinations.

Organizations representing over 5,000 European logistics companies have set out how food, pharmaceutical and horticultural supply chains have proved resilient despite unprecedented challenges—pandemic, war, energy shortage and price inflation.

Project added 42,000 pallet positions and 13 million cubic feet to the facility.

Attendees called for Congress to support science-based regulatory decision-making from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and passage of the Supporting All Healthy Options When Purchasing Produce (SHOPP) Act.
