Port of Wilmington to acquire former Chemours Edgemoor site

Chemours announced closure of the 114-acre Edgemoor manufacturing operation in August 2015 with the promise that the property would be returned to the benefit of the community and state.

The Diamond State Port Corp. (DSPC), Wilmington, Del., and The Chemours Co., also of Wilmington, Del., announced an agreement for the Port of Wilmington to purchase the former Chemours Edgemoor site on Hay Road, located to the north of the port’s existing facility, for $10 million.

CarbAmericas, CarGoldMex debut new facility in Mexico

CarGoldMex is starting to pack broccoli at the new facility, and will process various other fruits and vegetables, including asparagus, bell peppers and strawberries at different times throughout the year.
