Construction and fabrication services provider Corval Group, Inc., St. Paul, Minn., said it purchased American Industrial Refrigeration (AIR), Atwater, Minn. Terms of the deal -- completed earlier this fall -- were not disclosed.

"This acquisition offers great visibility for Corval Group. It will increase our capabilities we can offer to customers as well as grow our customer base. There is a great opportunity for us to build confidence with new customers we don't currently serve." said Paul Jordan, Corval CEO.

Chris Novak, vice president, Industrial Division/IR at Corval Group, was named AIR president. AIR retains its AIR branded engineering and construction, officials said.

Added Novak, "The great thing about this acquisition is that AIR already is known for meeting their customers' needs and providing great products and service."

Corval said AIR's Excelsior, Minn., office -- the location for all engineering and project management -- was relocated to Plymouth, Minn. All AIR fabrication and construction operations remain in Atwater.

Corval Group says it is a fully integrated construction, fabrication and business solutions serving clients in the power, petrochemical / refining, alternative energy, industrial, commercial / retail, food & beverage, school/university and pharmaceutical / biotech segments.
